Community Gallery Introduces “Curated Display”: Safeguarding Content Quality

We will no longer directly publish every “public” work to the Gallery. Instead, we will curate high‑quality pieces from the candidate pool to showcase to the community and elevate the overall experience.

A small story

Recently, we received a wave of user feedback: some illustrations in the community were truly outstanding and delightful—but mixed in were “off” pieces, such as potentially NSFW images or obvious artifacts like a “three‑handed girl.” These issues hurt the browsing experience.

We take such feedback seriously. So we made a tough but important decision: introduce a curated review process. When a creator sets a work to “Public,” it first enters a candidate pool. Only works that pass manual curation will be displayed in the Community Gallery.

Yes, this increases our operational workload—but we believe it’s worth it for a better user experience.

What changed

  • “Public” no longer means “publish immediately.” It means you consent for your work to enter the candidate pool for curation.
  • Only curated works will appear in the Community Gallery; works not selected remain in “My Images” (visible only to the author).
  • Pro users can choose “Private” at generation time to keep works from entering the public display flow.

Why we made this change

  • Maintain professionalism, aesthetic consistency, and safety across community content.
  • Give better exposure to truly high‑quality works and improve the overall viewing experience.
  • Reduce the risk of unsuitable content appearing on public pages.

How we curate

  • Quality and clarity: complete composition, natural details (avoid extra limbs/obvious distortions).
  • Theme relevance: aligns with the community’s focus and aesthetics.
  • Compliance and safety: no policy‑violating or NSFW content.
  • Diversity and representation: encourage variety of styles and creative expression.

Note: We’ll continue to refine these standards over time and welcome your feedback.

What this means for you

  • You can still see all your works in “My Images.” “Pending” and “Private” are only visible to you.
  • To participate in community display, set your work to “Public” (it enters the curation pool).
  • Once curated, your work will be shown in the Community Gallery for all visitors.

FAQ

  • I set my work to “Public,” but don’t see it in the Gallery—why?
    • Because we’ve enabled curated display. Public works must pass curation to be displayed.
  • How long does it take?
    • We’ll process as quickly as possible (typically within 48 hours), though it may be longer during peak times.
  • Can I see others’ “Pending/Private” works?
    • No. These are visible only to the author.

Finally

We want truly excellent works to be seen by more people—and every visit to be enjoyable. Curated display is our commitment to community quality. Thank you for your understanding and support.
